Details

This six-week series is designed for women who feel curious about getting outside… but aren't quite sure where to start.

Maybe you've been thinking about it for a while. Maybe you've been waiting for someone to go with. Or maybe it just feels a little out of reach, or harder than it should.

This is that starting point. Together, we ease into walking in nature at a relaxed pace, building comfort, confidence and a quiet sense of familiarity with being out there.

📅 Program Length: 6 weeks (one walk per week) 📍 Locations: Gordon, St Ives, Turramurra & Ryde 🥾 Activity Level: Easy, building gently week to week 👣 Group Size: 4–8 Sistas + your Seek Sista guide Kirsty 💰 Cost: $180 (members), $220 (non-members) for the full six weeks

✨ Highlights

  • Six beginner-friendly tracks across some of the most beautiful natural areas within reach of Sydney

  • A pace that builds gently, week by week, so nothing ever feels like too much

  • A small, quiet group where you're never rushed or left behind

  • Something gentle to look forward to each week, and a real sense of progress by the end

🚗 Getting There

Transport is available in a small group setting for each walk. Exact meeting points and pick-up details will be shared closer to each week's walk.

🙋‍♀️ Who Can Join?

This is for you if:

  • You wouldn't describe yourself as outdoorsy

  • You've been wanting to start, but haven't quite taken the first step

  • You prefer a relaxed, no-pressure pace

  • You like the idea of going with a small, quiet group

You don't need any experience, just a willingness to give it a go.

🥾 Program Outline

The six weeks build gradually, so there's never a big jump from one walk to the next.

Week 1 – Starting Simple A short, easy walk on a clear track. This is about arriving, slowing down, and getting a feel for being outside.

Week 2 – Settling In A bit more time on the track, with gentle changes along the way. You start to relax into it.

Week 3 – Finding Your Rhythm A longer, unhurried walk with breaks built in. By now, things begin to feel more familiar.

Week 4 – Growing Confidence A more natural bush track, with uneven ground in parts. You'll likely notice yourself moving with more ease.

Week 5 – Feeling Stronger A little more distance or gentle challenge, taken at an easy pace. You feel more capable, without it ever feeling like a workout.

Week 6 – Looking Back A longer, rewarding walk to finish, and a chance to look back and realise how far you've come.

🎒 What to Bring

  • 1.5–2L of water

  • Comfortable walking shoes with good grip

  • Lightweight clothing layers

  • Hat, sunscreen & sunglasses

  • Snack style food (eg. fruit, light sandwich)

  • A small daypack for your essentials

📑 Cancellations

If you can't make it to a walk, please let us know so another participant can take your place. Walks may be rescheduled in poor weather.

📝 Waiver Required

Once booked, you'll receive a follow-up email with a link to our digital waiver form. Please complete this before your first walk (waivers are only required once every 12 months). You'll also get an invite to the program's WhatsApp group, for coordination, updates and getting to know your fellow walkers before you head off.

What You'll Gain

By the end of the six weeks, you'll likely notice:

  • You feel more at ease being out in nature

  • You're more comfortable joining or choosing walks

  • You feel a bit stronger, without pushing yourself

  • You've created space in your week that's just for you

And maybe most importantly, it no longer feels like something "other people do."

Ready to Begin?

You don't need to feel ready. You don't need to be super fit. You don't need to know what you're doing.

You just need to come along to the first walk… and see how it feels.
