Step into a world of rugged coastal beauty and deep Australian history as we weave through the heathland of North Head. We’ll wander down to the historic Q-Station to soak in the harbour views and quiet cove vibes before looping back through the sanctuary.

✨ Highlights

  • Spectacular Headland Views: Take in the dramatic sandstone cliffs and the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

  • Q-Station Discovery: Explore the grounds of the historic Quarantine Station, nestled in a peaceful, hidden bay.

  • Native Wildlife: Keep an eye out for long-nosed bandicoots and basking lizards in the protected heathland.

  • Manly Skyline: Enjoy unique vantage points looking back across the harbour toward the city and Manly.

🚗 Getting there

Complimentary return transport is available in the Seek Sista Shuttle Van for up to 6 participants. Plus Perks members are offered shuttle seats first, with remaining places allocated in booking order. There are 2 pickup points to choose from. Exact locations will be texted upon booking: Pick-up Point 1 – Gordon Station Pick-up Point 2 – Manly Wharf (for those arriving by ferry) Driving Yourself? Exact location details to meet at will be texted to you upon booking.

🥾 Activity Level & Track Grade

Beginner:

A scenic coastal circuit that transitions from flat clifftop lookouts to a historic bayside descent with a steady stair climb back up.

Grade 2-3 (Easy to Moderate):

  • The Climb: Featuring well-maintained bush tracks and some paved sections.

  • Elevation: Includes a few sets of stairs as we descend into and ascend from the Q Station area.

  • Fitness: Requires a baseline level of fitness for the uphill return, but we will be taking it at a soulful, steady pace.

  • Terrain: A mix of defined paths, historic stone steps, and sandy patches at the shoreline.

We’ll have plenty of time to explore the historic rock carvings and the free museum.

🎒 What to Bring

• 1.5–2L of water • Walking shoes with good grip • Lightweight clothing layers • Hat, sunscreen & sunglasses • Snack style food (eg. fruit, light sandwich) • A small daypack for your essentials • A mug for your cup of coffee or tea

📑 Cancellations

If you can’t make it, please cancel your RSVP so another participant can take your place. Walks may be rescheduled or cancelled in poor weather.

📝 Waiver Required

Once booked, you will receive a follow-up email containing a link to our digital waiver form. Please ensure this is completed prior to the morning of our walk (waivers are only required once every 12 months). You’ll also receive an invitation to our event WhatsApp group for final coordination, real-time updates, and the chance to connect with your walking buddies before we head off on the walk.
