A gentle mid-week escape that feels worlds away from the city, winding through lush bushland and along the peaceful water's edge. This circuit is the perfect blend of lakeside serenity and native sandstone beauty, offering a grounded space to reconnect with nature and each other.

  • Heritage Views: Admire the historic 1856 dam wall, the first of its kind in Australia.

  • Bushland Immersion: Wander through the diverse Sydney Sandstone Gully Forest, home to kookaburras and sugar gliders.

  • Cultural Connection: Walk through the Arrunga Bardo ("Calm Waters") Garden, highlighting the deep connection of the Burramattagal clan to this land.


🚗 Getting there

For a comfortable return trip in the Seek Sista Shuttle Van, there are 3 pickup points to choose from. Exact locations will be texted upon booking:

🥾 Track Grade Breakdown

Grade 3: This trail is suitable for most fitness levels but does require a bit of steady footing. The track is a natural earth surface that can be uneven in sections. You can expect some stone steps, a few short rocky climbs, and a crossing at Hunts Creek using stepping stones. While not overly strenuous, the terrain keeps you engaged with the landscape.


🎒 What to Bring

  • 1.5–2L of water

  • Hiking shoes with good grip

  • Lightweight clothing layers

  • Hiking poles (recommended)

  • Hat, sunscreen & sunglasses

  • Snack style food (eg. fruit, light sandwich)

  • A small daypack for your essentials

  • A mug for your cup of coffee or tea

  • Smartphone for photos


📑 Cancellations

If you can’t make it, please cancel your RSVP so another participant can take your place. Walks may be rescheduled or cancelled in poor weather.


📝 Waiver Required

Once booked, you will receive a follow-up email containing a link to our digital waiver form. Please ensure this is completed prior to the morning of our hike (waivers are only required once every 12 months). You’ll also receive an invitation to our event WhatsApp group for final coordination, real-time updates, and the chance to connect with your walking buddies before we start the walk.
