Community Guidelines for Outdoor Groups, Clubs & Activity Providers

Our community is dedicated to individuals who share a passion for outdoor activities and a sense of connection. To foster a positive and supportive environment, we ask that all businesses listed in our directory adhere to the following community guidelines:

1. Respect and Inclusivity

  • Be Respectful: Treat all members and participants with kindness, respect, and consideration. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Inclusivity: Encourage an inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds, skill levels and abilities feel welcome and valued.

 
2. Accurate and Honest Information

  • Honesty: Provide truthful and accurate information about your group, activities and events. Misleading or false information is not permitted.

  • Updates: Regularly update your listing to reflect any changes in contact information, activity details, or group policies.

 
3. Safety First

  • Prioritise Safety: Ensure that all activities and events prioritise the safety and well-being of participants. Provide clear safety guidelines and necessary precautions.

  • Qualified Leadership: Ensure that group leaders and organisers are qualified and experienced in the activities they are leading.

  • Permits and Compliance: Obtain and maintain all necessary permits and adhere to state laws and regulations relevant to your activities and events. Ensure that your group is in compliance with local and state legal requirements.

 
4. Positive Engagement

  • Constructive Communication: Engage in positive and constructive communication with other members and groups. Avoid negative or confrontational language.

  • Supportive Environment: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment where members can share their experiences, challenges and successes.
     

5. Community Contribution

  • Active Participation: Actively participate in the Seek Sista community by sharing insights, tips, and feedback that can benefit others.

  • Encourage Collaboration: Promote collaboration and camaraderie among members and other groups, enhancing the overall community experience.
