Join us for casual, friendly hikes within a 2.5 hour drive of Sydney, usually covering around 10km over 4 hours.
These hikes are a step up from our weekly walks — a little more adventurous, but still relaxed and pressure-free. They’re ideal for anyone living near Sydney or visiting NSW who’s keen to explore stunning bush trails and enjoy good company without needing to be super fit or fast. Expect bush tracks, gentle hills, great views and a relaxed snack break along the way. We usually break the hike into easy 1–2km sections, with time to pause, catch your breath and soak up the scenery.
You’ll need to feel confident walking around 10km at a steady but relaxed pace. Bring sturdy shoes, water, snacks and a curious spirit. Groups are small (max 6 Sistas per hike) We also have 6 spots available in the shuttle van for those who'd like a lift there and back, it’s best to book early to secure your seat!

Frequently Asked Questions
We keep it simple with two types of outings:
-
Walks — Free, easy-paced and 5–8 kms on mostly gentle terrain and urban streets. Perfect if you want to enjoy nature without a big challenge.
-
Hikes — A bit longer and more demanding, usually 9–15 kms, with varied terrain that requires some hiking or bushwalking experience. These are ticketed at $25.
If you’re unsure where to start, try a walk first to get a feel for the group and pace. Kirsty (your guide) will also get in touch before your first hike to make sure it’s a good fit for your experience and comfort.
-
Absolutely! Our walks and hikes welcome a range of fitness levels, but all walks require the ability to walk at least 5km at a steady pace. We encourage everyone to come as they are—just check the walk’s distance and pace before signing up to make sure it feels right for you. Feel free to also reach out to Kirsty if you have questions or concerns.
-
For most walks, activewear and comfy sneakers or trail shoes are all you need. For longer or more rugged hikes, we recommend hiking shoes/boots, layers for warmth or rain and a sun-smart hat.
-
Dress for comfort and the conditions—this isn’t a fashion hike, it’s a feel-good one.
-
For social walks:
-
Water (at least 1L)
-
A hat and sunscreen
-
Light layers depending on the weather
-
A small backpack
-
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip
For longer hikes:
-
Water (1–2L depending on the hike)
-
Snacks or lunch
-
Hat, sunscreen and weather-appropriate layers
-
A light backpack
-
Raincoat or windbreaker (just in case)
-
Hiking boots or trail shoes
-
Don’t stress—no one gets left behind. Kirsty leads every walk or hike and keeps the group together with a steady, friendly pace and plenty of breaks.
This is about enjoying the journey, not pushing through pain. If you need to slow down or take a breather, that’s totally fine. We’re here for connection, nature and feeling good—not racing to the end.
These hikes are just for women—no kids or dogs. It’s your time to unwind and connect with nature and other like-minded women without distractions or extra responsibilities.
Most walks and hikes start or finish near public toilets, but not all trails have facilities along the way. If it’s a more remote walk, I’ll give you a heads-up so you can bring a simple bush toilet kit (toilet paper, hand sanitiser, ziplock bag).
Light rain? We’ll probably still go—some of the best moments happen when the bush is misty and quiet. But if the forecast calls for storms, strong wind, or dangerous heat, we'll reschedule.
We keep a close eye on the weather and will update you well in advance if plans change. Safety always comes first—and sometimes we’ll tweak the route rather than cancel altogether.
Snakes are part of the bush, especially in the warmer months—but they’re more afraid of us than we are of them. We stick to well-used trails, stay alert and I’ll always give a quick safety rundown before we head off.
Wearing closed shoes, staying on the path and keeping calm are the best ways to stay safe.
Leeches are rare on our trails, but they can pop up after rain or in damp, shady spots. They’re harmless—just annoying.
We usually avoid known “leechy” areas, but if we’re heading somewhere where they might be hanging out, we’ll give you a heads-up beforehand.
Here’s how we deal:
-
Wear long socks or gaiters
-
Use insect repellent on shoes and socks
-
And bring a sense of humour—we always have extra repellent just in case!
-
You don’t have to be a member to join our free social walks—just sign a quick waiver before your first walk. For guided hikes and partner events, membership is optional but worth it: members get a free guided hike every quarter, 20% off other hikes, early access and other perks.
