Full Description
This hike starts at Glenbrook Causeway in the Blue Mountains National Park, wandering along Camp Fire Creek through peaceful eucalypt forest and past weathered rock formations. The highlight — Red Hands Cave — offers remarkable insight into the cultural history of the Darug people, where vivid red, white and yellow hand stencils line the sandstone walls. Along the way we’ll pause for quiet reflection, enjoy simple hands-on guidance for photographing nature and landscapes with your smartphone, take in the scenery and enjoy the company of a small, supportive group of women. After the main loop we’ll relax at Jellybean Pool for an optional catered picnic lunch, giving you time to rest and connect.
Track grades: Outward trail Grade 3 (moderate) along well‑formed track; return via Fire Trail Grade 4 (gradual uphill climb, exposed sections) — moderate fitness recommended.
